Make tiny paper lanterns to hang on the tree

This craft is suitable for kindergarten and below- maybe even 1st graders.  You probably remember this.

1. Take any scrap of paper- wrapping paper, construction paper, a page from an old book.

Cut it into a small rectangle and fold it in half.  For a child you will want guidlines for cutting.  You are going to cut straight parallel lines from the fold down to about
1/8 th of an inch from the bottom edge.

Unfold, fold again so the blank sides are together so the thing will open up properly, then, with cut strips now vertical, curve it around into a cylinder and tape one side to the other.  Attach a loop of ribbon or floss to the top and hang from the tree, preferably over one of the lights:

Three of four other Crafts you could use for Christmas gifts or decorations are included in

Education For All, a new Charlotte Mason e-zine/journal, with original articles and reprints of Parents' Review articles you haven't seen before!
